About the health of our kittens and cats

One of the most important considerations in any breeding program is genetics. We strive to conduct the most sound breedings possible using every available resource at our disposal. We conduct DNA testing for PKD, scans for HCM, pregnancy ultrasounds, and ongoing communication with our veterinarian. This has allowed us to produce strong, healthy kittens while adhering to the CFA Persian Show Standard. We keep detailed records of our breedings, records on the kittens produced, and attend training seminars to expand our knowledge. We want every new owner to feel comfortable that we have done everything to ensure that their kitten is healthy and sound.

What are pet kittens?
There is a difference between a kitten "available as a "pet", "pet quality" and "doll-face". WiccaCats cattery does NOT breed to sell kittens. Our cats are carefully selected for their exceptional type based upon the CFA Persian Show Standard. The same parents that produce our National Winners produce the kittens we occasionally make available as "pets" to loving forever homes. Those kittens are offered at a nominal cost which covers vaccinations, veterinary check-ups, and rearing. This is an important part of responsible breeding and allows us to ensure that all of our kittens have loving, forever homes and the best possible care.
